Defending champions Korea Republic have been drawn in Group A with hosts India, Kyrgyzstan and Jordan in the AFC Youth Championship to be held in India from October 29 to November 12.

Defending champions Korea Republic have been drawn in Group A with hosts India, Kyrgyzstan and Jordan in the AFC Youth Championship to be held in India from October 29 to November 12.

Korea Republic will start their campaign against Jordan on October 29. Newcomers Australia, China, Thailand and the UAE are in Group B. Both these group matches will be played at Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata while Bangalore would host the remaining two group matches, pending approval from the AFC.

Strong Japan, Iran, Tajikistan and DPR Korea are in Group C while Iraq, Malaysia, Vietnam and Saudi Arabia complete Group D.

Semi-finals will be played in Kolkata on November 9 while the final will take place at the same venue on November 12.

The top four teams in this tournament will qualify for the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Canada.
