Kim Chi, Tai Em earn Gold Ball 2005 prizes

Phan Van Tai Em, captain of the U-23 football squad, and Doan Thi Kim Chi, captain of the women”s team, have received the Gold Ball Prize 2005.

This is the first time Tai Em has won the title and the second consecutive time for Kim Chi. SBest foreign player of the year⬝ went to Kesley Alves.
 
Sport officials and sports writers judging the prize gave priority to clean” football. Kim Chi, halfback for the women”s national team and HCM City club took 289 points. 2003 Gold Ball winner Van Thi Thanh took second with 250 points and Dao Thi Mien took third with 154 points.
 
For the men, Tai Em, halfback of the Dong Tam Brick Long An team and captain of the national U-23 team took 103/130 votes and 354 points. Cong Vinh, 2004 Gold Ball winner, took the silver with 221 points, and Tan Tai of Khanh Hoa club took the bronze with 113 points.
 
Tan Tai also took SOutstanding young player⬝ with 75 votes, well ahead of the 25 for Ngoc Linh from Nam Dinh team.
 
2005 V-League top scorer Kesley Alves, who has just left Binh Duong club for Hoang Anh Gia Lai, took SBest foreign footballer 2005⬝ with 125 votes, compared to only one for Kiatisuk and Antonio Rodrigues, second and third for the title.
