The Malaysian League season next year will start in 2006 and end by March 2007 to help the national team prepare for the AFC Asian Cup 2007, which will be co-hosted by Malaysia.
The Malaysian League season next year will start in 2006 and end by March 2007 to help the national team prepare for the AFC Asian Cup 2007, which will be co-hosted by Malaysia.


Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) secretary general Datuk Seri Ibrahim Saad said: SIt is better for us to be fully prepared and put on a credible showing as we will be one of the hosts. The national team for the AFC Asian Cup challenge have already started preparations, and will also be sent to the Asian Games in Doha, Qatar in December.⬝ The 2007 Malaysia Cup will start after the completion of the AFC Asian Cup 2007. Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam are co-hosting the tournament.

Saad also said that all Super League and Premier League matches would be played on Saturday night from March 4.
