The SEA Games torch was given by the hosts of the 22nd SEA Games, Vietnam, to the Philippines, hosts of the 23rd event in Hanoi on November 11, reported Ho Chi Minh City Sports newspaper.

The SEA Games torch was given by the hosts of the 22nd SEA Games, Vietnam, to the Philippines, hosts of the 23rd event in Hanoi on November 11, reported Ho Chi Minh City Sports newspaper. 
 

The newspaper said that Nguyen Trong Hy, vice chairman of the Vietnam Committee for Physical Education and Sports and permanent deputy head of the 22nd SEA Games organising board, gave Julian Camacho, representative from the 23rd SEA Games organising board. On behalf of the 23rd hosts, Mr Camacho highly spoke of the comprehensive success of the 22nd SEA Games in Vietnam two years ago. Mr Camacho said that despite many difficulties, the Philippines would strive for the 23rd SEA Games to end in great success.

As planned, the torch will arrive in Cebu on November 12 and will arrive in Manila on November 27, when the 23rdSEA Games opens.
