Thailand sent out and early signal to all teams that will be participating in this year”s SEA Games football tournament when they thrashed Cambodia 8-0 in the pre-SEA Games tournament held here in Bangkok.

Thailand took a five goal lead in the first half , Chakrit Buathong scored an opening goal in the3rd minute when he volleyed the ball from a cross received from Tada Keelay.
 
In the 12th minute Thailand was awarded a free-kick and Ekaphan stepped up and placed the ball at the right end corner which only made Cambodian goal-keeper speechless.
 
Thailand”s versatile midfielder Datsakorn added more pain to the Cambodian side when he headed the ball in the 20th minute.
 
Chakrit scored his second goal in the 27th minute by tapping the ball after receiving a straight ball from Suchao Nutnum.
 
Just before half time Suchao Nutnum scored the fifth goal by heading the ball after receiving a cross from Jakkrit Bunkham
 
The Cambodian could not do much in containing the Thai Strike force. It was 5-0 till the end of the first half.
 
In the second half and a cross from Suchao Nutnum found Datsakorn unmarked and shot the ball straight in and gave the Thai and 6-0 lead in the 46th minute.
 
Cambodia had a chance in the 59th minute , when Sun Spoanha”s shot hit the woodwork. In the 62nd minute Jakkrit took a shot from left corner and scored the seventh goal of Thailand.
 
In the 76th minute Thailand was awarded a free kick , Jakkrit scored his second goal by placing the ball on the left corner.
 
The match ended 8-0 till the end of the final whistle.
 
S We played well , we took our chances well, even though the reserve team played today it was a good match for us⬝ said Chanvit Polchivin.
