Two second half goals by Almeida earned host Da Nang three points to top the table. However, the first opportunity belonged to visiting Pomina Steel Tien Giang. In the first minutes, Martins Trindade”s header was denied by the woodwork after the homeside”s goalkeeper Van Hanh stood watching. In the 24th minute, Bao Tam failed to score in head-to-head situation against Van Hanh.
 
Two minutes into the second half, Almeida scored with a strike from outside the penalty box. In the 83rd minute, Almeida finished off Thanh Phuc”s cross to seal a 2-0 victory for Da Nang.
 
The victory earned Da Nang top spot of the table with 21 points.
 
In Ho Chi Minh City, last week”s leaders Midako Nam Dinh were trounced to a 4-1 defeat to Southern Steel Saigon Port. Eight minutes after kick-off, both sides had already scored. In the sixth minute, A Vy opened the scoring. Thanh Nguyen”s 25 metre shot found the net.
 
Two minutes into the second half, Chi Thang restored a one-goal lead. Duc Nhat and Elenido scored two more goals in the 75th and 85th minutes, respectively.
 
In Lach Tray, a goal by Thai striker Sorayoot could not save PISICO Binh Dinh from a defeat to Mitsustar Haier Haiphong. In the 20th minute, the hosts were given a spot kick after Thanh Loi”s handball. Julien made no mistake converting his spot kick. Minutes later, Mitsustar Haier Haiphong lost two key players Julien and Van Thanh due to injuries. Ten minutes after the break, Tostao made it 2-0 for the hosts. In the 80th minute, Sorayoot scored a consolation goal for PISICO Binh Dinh. After the defeat, PISICO Binh Dinh remain third in the table.
 
The most interesting game in the 12th round was the clash between Dong Tam Long An and Binh Duong, which ended 2-2 after 90 minutes. Seven minutes after kick-off, Minh Phuong”s freekick hit the post before finding the net. However, Abbey levelled the score, converting a spot kick, after goalkeeper Tien Phong brought striker Philani down. In the 55th minuter, captain Truong Giang put Binh Duong in front with a 15 metre strike. Antonio Rodrigues regained a point for the home side, heading in the equaliser in the 88th minute.
 
Other results are as follows: LG.HN.ACB beat Khatoco Khanh Hoa 1-0 while PJICO Song Lam Nghe An drew 1-1 with Hoa Phat Hanoi.
