Vietnam ranks third as 23rd SEA Games closes

The 23^rd SEA Games closed after nine days of competition in Metro Manila, the Philippines, on December 5 with a simple and pleasant ceremony at the Quirino Grand Stand.

In nine days, from November 27 to December 5, around 7,000 athletes from 11 countries competed in 40 sports for 439 sets of medals. More importantly, according to Filipino president Arroyo, the SEA Games was an opportunity for the countries in South East Asia promote their friendship and unity for a joint spirit One heritage, one South East Asia.”
