The coach of the Vietnamese women”s football team said Friday his players were ready to defend their title at this month”s Sea Games after a useful training trip in Taiwan.

SAll our women are fit and can play 120 minutes if required,⬝ Mai Duc Chung said.

Besides the training regimen, the team had also played three friendly games in Taiwan and benefited greatly from them, he said. Vietnam won one and drew two.

Notably, it had defeated Taiwan”s Olympic team 2-0, impressing the coaches with its tactics and skills.

However, Chung said the team had missed some clear chances in the three friendlies and needed to sharpen its scoring skills.
