100% of referees passed the physical fitness test ahead of the 2025 National Women’s and Youth Football Championships

On the afternoon of February 5th, at the Hanoi Athletics Stadium, a physical fitness test for referees of the 2025 National Women’s and Youth Football Championships was held. As a result, 83 out of 83 (100%) male and female referees successfully passed this important test for the new season.

The lecturers overseeing the physical fitness test included Mr. Võ Quang Vinh – Vice Chairman of the Arbitration Committee of the Vietnam Football Federation, along with fitness instructors Nguyễn Như Phong and Nguyễn Trung Kiên. According to the training organizers’ report, a total of 83 referees participated in the test, including 26 male referees, 35 male assistants, 10 female referees, and 13 female assistants. The physical fitness test began at 4:00 PM, after the referees completed the theoretical section in the hall. The test lasted nearly 3 hours, with female referees tested first, followed by the male referees. With determination and thorough preparation, all 83 referees successfully completed the physical fitness test set by the instructors.

Today, the training course for referee assessors and referees of the 2025 National Women’s and Youth Football Championships continues at the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and will conclude on February 7th. Immediately after the training, the referee assessors and referees will be assigned to officiate at the 2025 U19 National Women’s Football Championship, one of the key tournaments in the youth and grassroots football system of Vietnam in general, and the national women’s football system in particular.
