2024/25 Asian Women’s Club Football Rankings: Vietnam Ranked 5th

The Vietnamese women’s club representative, Ho Chi Minh City FC, made an impressive debut at the continental level by reaching the semi-finals of the AFC Women’s Champions League™ 2024/25. This remarkable achievement played a key role in helping Vietnam climb to 5th place (with 70.393 points) in the AFC’s recently released Asian women’s club football rankings.

According to the Asian women’s club football rankings for the 2024/25 season, Australia has risen to the top position with 97.662 points, followed by South Korea in second place with 75.852 points, and Japan in third with 74.800 points. Meanwhile, Wuhan Jiangda’s championship victory in the AFC Women’s Champions League™ 2024/25 helped elevate Chinese women’s football to fourth place, with a total of 74.583 points.

Vietnam’s representative in the AFC Women’s Champions League™ 2024/25, Ho Chi Minh City Women’s Football Club, delivered an outstanding performance that earned them a spot among the 41 top Asian women’s clubs in the official rankings. Their remarkable achievement significantly contributed to Vietnam securing 5th place in the AFC Asian Women’s Club Rankings, thereby earning a direct slot in the AFC Women’s Champions League 2025/26.

The rankings of Asian countries in women’s club football are determined based on a weighted combination of club performance (70%, calculated from results in the AFC Women’s Champions League™ 2024/25) and national team performance (30%, based on the FIFA Women’s World Ranking as of March 2025).
