22 players were called up to the Vietnam futsal team to prepare for the 2022 AFF Futsal Championship and AFC Futsal Asian Cup Qualifier
Today (February 21), the Vietnamese futsal team officially gathered in Ho Chi Minh City to prepare for the 2022 2022 AFF Futsal Championship and AFC Futsal Asian Cup Qualifier.

In this period, the team gathered a total of 22 players, in which besides the main force competing at the FIFA futsal World Cup Lithuania 2021, head coach Pham Minh Giang also had the return of players who recovered from injury and young players.
According to the plan, head coach Pham Minh Giang’s team will be stationed at Thai Son Nam Gymnasium – District 8 until March 21, and will travel to Thailand to train and compete in the 2022 AFF Futsal Championship, and also the 2022 AFC Futsal Asian Cup Qualifier. During the training period, it is expected that the team will play 3 friendly matches to review the force before closing the list down to 16 players.
The 2022 AFF Futsal Championship will take place from April 2 to April 11, 2022 in Bangkok, Thailand. The opponent of the Vietnamese futsal team will be determined after the draw took place this afternoon (February 21). The results of the 2022 AFF Futsal Championship are also counted as the 2022 AFC Futsal Asian Cup qualifying results. Accordingly, the top 4 teams with the best results at the 2022 AFF Futsal Championship will win the right to participate in the AFC Futsal Asian Cup 2022, taking place in Kuwait from September 25 to October 20, 2022.
