The only goal by Thanh Phuc in the second half helped Da Nang secure the first win of the season in a match against the guest Binh Dinh.

With this significant win, Da Nang moved one place up while their opponents dropped to the bottom of the table.

However, Da Nang will continue to face difficulties in the next matches, having conceded the most goals in the V-League.

The round has also witnessed several surprises with strong teams such as Dong Tam Long An and defending champions Binh Duong defeated by their visitors. Two goals by Opara and Dos Santos helped Song Lam Nghe An defeat the hosts Dong Tam Long An 3-0, raising the team from the tenth to sixth place.

The excellent performance by Rafael Rodrigues marked The Cong’s first ever win over Hoang Anh Gia Lai in the V-League.

The only draw of the round was between Haiphong and Thanh Hoa. The hosts Haiphong took the lead following Bernard Achaw’s goal in the end of first half. In the 53rd minute, Rafael Souza of Thanh Hoa clashed the sea port team’s hope to gain three points by equalising the match with a 1-1 score.

After seven rounds, Haiphong continue to lead the V-league with 15 points. Meanwhile,SaigonPort who nurtured their hopes of replacing Haiphong, are also on 15 points after seven matches.
