Vietnam’s footballers are now 115 th in the world, according to the latest report by FIFA, the world football governing body.
The nation is 16 th in Asia and second in the Southeast Asian region behind Thailand, who are 96 th in the world.
Vietnam jumped two places in the rankings from last month, despite not having competed internationally.
Singaporean footballers are third in the region and 129 th in the world, followed by Indonesia(132 nd ) and Myanmar (164 th ).
