AFF Futsal Championship semis line-up completed

Defending champions Thailand will play Malaysia while Australia take on Vietnam in the semifinals of the AFF Futsal Championship on Friday.

Australia thrashed the Philippines 5-1 in their final Group A match while Thailand whipped Brunei 13-1 in Group B on Wednesday at the Hua Mak Stadium.

Australia”s goalscorers were Luke Haydon (4), Adrian Vizzari (7), Anh Tuan Cao (27, 28) and Lachlan Wright (33).

The Thais were powered to the win by Panuwat Janta (13, 35, 37) and Prasert Innui (27, 28, 38).

Vietnam were the first team to book their place to join Thailand and Australia in the semifinals when they overcame Myanmar 6-4.

Malaysia on their part drew 2-2 with Indonesia and completed the line-up as the second-placed team in Group B. The Malaysian goals were fired by Ahmad Rizal Abdul Rahim (20, 38).
