VFF Congress VII term: Determined to create a turning point and a new development for Vietnamese football

Participating in the VII Congress of the LDBDVN includes: 63/68 delegates representing members with voting and voting rights and 20/22 members of the VI Executive Committee.

The Congress was honored to welcome Mr. Hoang Tuan Anh – Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Chairman of the Vietnam Olympic Committee, Mr. Ho Anh Tuan – Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Mr. Ha Quang Du- former Minister, Chairman of the Sports Committee, Mr. Vuong Bich Thang- Director General of the General Department of Sports and Sports, Mr. Nguyen Tien Thanh- Director of the Department of Non-Governmental Organizations, Ministry of Home Affairs, Mr. Pham Thanh Cam- Deputy Director of the Central Propaganda Department.

Former VFF leaders attending the 7th VFF Congress were Mr. Nguyen Trong Hy – former President of VFF courses V and VI, Mr. Mai Liem Truc – former President of VFF term IV, Mr. Tran Duy Ly – former Acting Chairman of VFF term IV and former Vice Presidents and General Secretary of VFF through the periods.

The Congress was pleased to welcome international guests including Mr. Si Song Mun – In charge of managing member associations of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), Mr. Dato Azzuddin Ahmad – General Secretary of the Southeast Asian Football Confederation (AFF), representatives of the Ministry of Education and Training, representatives of the General Department of Sports and Sports, representatives of the Police Department for Investigation and Prevention of Crime and Social Order C45, representatives of the Department of Internal Political Security A83, Ministries’ agencies, Central Committee, Branch and many representatives of media agencies of Central and Hanoi.

Speaking at the opening of the Congress, Mr. Le Hung Dung – Chairman of the VI LDBDVN had very frank, strong and enthusiastic sharings about all specific programs, action plans, and tasks. Urgently need to be implemented in 2014 and the following phases to constantly improve and improve the management and administration, well implement the Strategy for development of Vietnamese football to 2020, vision to 2020. 2030” approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 419/QD-TTg dated March 8, 2013 and Directive 97/CT dated May 13, 2013 of the Minister of Culture and Information.

After the speech of Mr. Le Hung Dung, the Congress approved the Report on verification of the Delegate’s eligibility to attend the Congress; voted to admit 05 new members of LDBDVN including: Lam Dong football team, Kon Tum football team, Ben Tre football club, Binh Phuoc club and Saigon Youth Club. The General Meeting also approved the decision to suspend 04 members including clubs: Kienlongbank Kien Giang, Binh Dinh, V&V United and TDC Binh Duong, unanimously approved the list of Presidium and Secretariat of the Congress, approved the Program The 7th LDBDVN congress for the term 2014-2018 and Regulations on organization of the congress.

Then, the delegates to the Congress heard, discussed and agreed to approve the Summary Report on the Summary of the work of the VI LDBDVN and the orientation, objectives and tasks of the LDBDVN Session VII; Review report of the Executive Committee of LDBDVN, term VI; Report on Finance, Marketing and Campaigning for Sponsorships, Course VI; The financial audit report of term VI, and at the same time expressed the determination to best complete the tasks and directions set out.

Before conducting the election of the main positions of the 7th LDBDVN and the 7th LDBDVN Executive Committee, the Congress listened to the guiding speech of the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Tuan Anh. The Minister acknowledged the efforts of the LDBDVN in actively participating with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in formulating and submitting to the Prime Minister, the Government for promulgation the Strategy for development of Vietnamese football until 2020 with a vision to 2030. strives to develop professional football, expand foreign affairs and maintain operations in very difficult economic conditions.

As the head of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Minister Hoang Tuan Anh also frankly pointed out the shortcomings and limitations in the operation of the LDBDVN last term, and gave specific and profound instructions to help LDBDVN promote the results achieved, overcome difficulties, challenges and limitations and weaknesses, bringing Vietnamese football to a new height.
