Vision Vietnam’s newest project, Ho Chi Minh City, has put plenty of emphasis on coach and referees education after finalising its development plan for 2009.

The coastal city joins Long An and Hanoi in the Vision Vietnam programme and is ready to implement its strategic plan following a recent visit by the AFC Vision Asia team.

The Ho Chi Minh City Football Federation (HFF) has asked for 12 different levels of coaching courses in 2009 as well as four referee development courses.

HFF has also agreed to revise its statutes to mirror that of the Vietnam Football Federation constitution once the national body amends its own constitution to agree with FIFA Standard Statutes.

The HFF is also set to hold its Congress in April, where the body will make amendments to its organisational structure, standing committees and competition management.

Project Ho Chi Minh City was initiated in July last year and a planning workshop was held in December.
