Sanna’s victory put out the title ambition of Thai Son Bac which managed to beat Sanatech Khanh Hoa 6-4 in another game played earlier the same day.
With 19 points scored after seven matches, Sanna Khanh Hoa achieved their first national futsal championship title in history with prize money of VND80 million (US$3,680). Thai Son Bac ended up in second place overall with 18 points receiving VND50 million (US$2,300), while the VND30 million third place went to Thai Son Nam with 13 points.
The joy of victory was multiplied for Sanna Khanh Hoa as they additionally claimed the fair-play prize and player, Thanh Dat was voted as the most valuable of the tournament.
Van Vu of Thai Son Nam and Nguyen Phuc of Sanatech Khanh Hoa were named the competition’s top scorers, while Thai Son Nam’s Van Huy won the ‘best goalkeeper’ title.
The 2015 National Futsal Championships brought together 10 teams competing in the first stage from March 29 to April 7. The top eight teams of the first stage qualified for the second taking place from April 12 to 23, during which they competed in a round robin format to decide the overall champions.
