Ha Noi ACB drew with Binh Dinh 1-1 in the earliest game of the fourth round of the V-League at Ha Noi”s Hang Day Stadium on January 25.

Hassan Koeman Sessay opened the score for the hosts in the first four minutes of the game.

Ha Noi ACB, who lost away to former champions Hoang Anh Gia Lai 2-0 on Sunday, attacked relentlessly from the outset, but it was visitors who nearly equalised in the 15th minute when Carlos Rodrigues” header hit the crossbar.

Binh Dinh, who more than make up for their lack of height with excellent ball control, eventually managed to level the score in the 28th minute, when Cruz D. Luiz scored from 25m out after getting on the end of a pass from Thai Duong.

In the 38th minute, the hosts had a chance to go ahead but Minh Tuan”s shot failed to find the back of the net.

After the break, the visitor”s co-ordinated well but were denied time and again by the home team”s defence.

In the 90th minute, Binh Dinh”s Bruno D. Barbosa was red carded after fouling a Ha Noi player inside the penalty area. But Binh Dinh”s goalkeeper, To Vinh Loi, saved the penalty, and the score remained deadlocked.

The two teams are fairly evenly matched. Ha Noi ACB last beat Binh Dinh 1-0 at home in 2005. In 2006, the teams met twice, both games ending in goalless draws. Last year, however, Ha Noi ACB lost 2-0 to the central team.

After four rounds, Binh Dinh, who drew with Hoa Phat Ha Noi 3-3 also at the Hang Day Stadium last week, now have four points, while Ha Noi ACB are on three
