Acting President of the Vietnam Football Federation Tran Quoc Tuan welcomed the Ambassador of Uruguay
This morning, April 21, Acting President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) Tran Quoc Tuan had a reception for Uruguay Ambassador Raúl Pollak Giampietro at the VFF’s house.
This is the first visit to the Vietnam Football Federation by Ambassador Raúl Pollak Giampietro after assigning in Vietnam. On this occasion, the Ambassador congratulated the Vietnamese women’s football team for their excellent performance, winning the right to compete in the 2023 World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, and highly appreciated the development steps that Vietnamese football has gone in recent years.
Uruguay is a country with a developed football background and Uruguayans also have great love and interest in this sport. Therefore, Ambassador Raúl Pollak Giampietro hopes that the Uruguayan Embassy in Vietnam will be “a bridge” between Vietnam and Uruguay football.
Also at the meeting, Acting President Tran Quoc Tuan shared with the Ambassador the upcoming plans and goals of Vietnamese football. VFF Acting President expressed his hope to be able to connect and cooperate with Uruguayan football through the coordination and companionship of the Ambassador and members of the Uruguayan Embassy in Vietnam, thereby contributing to football development of the two countries.
