VFF, Next Media and BVB cooperate to develop Vietnamese football
This afternoon (October 17), leaders of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), Next Media had a meeting with representatives of Borussia Dortmund Club on cooperation projects in the near future. The key event will be the friendly match between Vietnam Team and Borussia Dortmund Club scheduled to take place on November 30, 2022.
The delegation, on the VFF side, there were Mr. Cao Van Chong – Vice President, Mr. Le Hoai Anh – General Secretary. On behalf of Next Media, there are Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien – General Director; Mr. Do Thanh Tung – Deputy General Director. Representatives of Borussia Dortmund club attending the meeting were Mr. Benedikt Scholz – Director Internatilnal & commercial partnerships, Ms. Julia Farr – Lead Asia Pacific, International & New business development, Mr. Thorsten Olk – Deputy Head of Club Security.
At the meeting, VFF, Next Media, and Borussia Dortmund club agreed on important contents in the upcoming cooperation program, with the key event is the friendly match between Vietnam National team and Borussia Dortmund. The match is an opportunity for the coaching assistant to review and test the resources, towards the biggest tournament in region – AFF Cup 2022. The match will be kick-off at 7pm on November 30 at My Dinh National Stadium.
Talking about this cooperation, Mr. Cao Van Chong – VFF Vice President emphasised: “In order to prepare for the match at the end of November, we have discussed very carefully. The Borussia Dortmund club will send experienced experts in various fields to coordinate the organisation, in order to maximize the potential and strengths of the parties, and cooperate on many effective projects in the future. Therefore, this event is just the beginning, towards many future cooperation projects such as youth training, women’s football development, professional club management model, etc. VFF has discussed with the coaching assistants to choose the perfect times and projects for the development of Vietnamese football”.
Borussia Dortmund’s representative Benedikt Scholz affirmed: “Borussia Dortmund Club is committed to a long-term cooperation with the VFF and Next Media, creating a sustainable relationship. In the upcoming match, we will definitely bring the strongest team. Besides the match, the coaches and the players also want to discover more about Vietnamese culture and people”.
Also at the meeting, the representative of Borussia Dortmund Club sent an invitation to the national team and talented players of Vietnamese football to train at the Borussia Dortmund club’s training centers and academies, and to play friendly matches in 2023.
As planned, in the next week, the organisation committee will hold an official press conference to announce the match and ticket release time. In order to create favorable conditions for spectators to watch and cheer for the players, tickets will be sale 80% online and 20% offline.
