U23 Vietnam completed the preparation, ready for the match against U23 Iraq
On the evening of March 21, the U23 Vietnam had the last training session before entering the first match at the U23 international Cup Doha-Qatar. The training session continued in the competition time frame (10:45 local time) with the main content being to perfect the tactics and personnel for the competition against Iraq U23.

Before closing the training session, coach Philippe Troussier spent a few minutes encouraging the players. He reminded the whole team that the goal set at this tournament is not the result of winning or losing, but the important thing is the experience and performance of the players, from which there can be adjustments and improvements to achieve the goal, towards the upcoming official tournaments, including the 32nd SEA Games in the immediate future. “We are just at the beginning stage, so we can’t ask for a perfection. But I always expect from you a ready attitude: Ready to go on the field to show your ability, ready for any possible situation, even ready to play in positions that we are not familiar with”, the French coach emphasized.
The match between U23 Vietnam and U23 Iraq will take place at 22:45 local time on March 22 (2:45 on March 23, Vietnam time). Coach Philippe Troussier’s team will come to the field in white, while the other team wears green.
This is a friendly tournament, so the organizers create conditions for teams to replace 6 players in the match. Coach Philippe Troussier said he will make the most of the substitution to give the players the opportunity to play.
