U17 Vietnam actively recovered after arriving in Thailand
On the morning of June 14, U17 Vietnam took a flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Bangkok (Thailand) to prepare for the 2023 AFC U17 Asian Cup. Nearly 11am on the same day, the team with 24 players was present at Suvarnabhumi International Airport.
After completing the processes, the whole team took about 30 minutes to move to the Rama Gardens Bangkok hotel to check in and have lunch. Due to having to get up early, the faces of many young players are quite sluggish. Perhaps because of that, the coaching staff decided to let the whole team exercise in the gym and then relax in the swimming pool at the hotel.
The weather in Bangkok at the moment is quite similar to the training location in Ba Ria Vung Tau, so the players are not too difficult to adapt. However, coach Hoang Anh Tuan and his associates reminded the members to pay attention to the air conditioning temperature, eating problems to ensure health for the training sessions and also to enter the first match with U17 India.
At this year’s competition, the teams will compete in a round-robin round to calculate points. The top two teams in each group will advance to the quarterfinals. The quarter-finals will take place on June 25-26, the semi-finals will take place on June 29, while the final will take place at 7 p.m. on July 2. The four semi-finalists will win tickets to the U17 World Cup.
According to the arrangement of the LOC, U17 Vietnam will play all 3 group stage matches at Thammasat Stadium at 2 hours of 17:00 and 19:00. Hoang Anh Tuan’s team will have a match against U17 India on June 17, then meet U17 Japan (June 20) and U17 Uzbekistan (June 23).
