Vietnam’s Elite referee team continues to be appointed to monitor the match at the 2023/24 AFC Cup (Group D)
Referee Ngo Duy Lan and assistant referees Nguyen Trung Hau and Pham Hoai Tam were appointed by AFC to work at the match between Odisha Club (India) and Bashundhara Kings Club (Bangladesh), within the framework of the 2023/24 AFC Cup – Group D on December 11 in India.

This is the second time that the Vietnamese referee team: Ngo Duy Lan, Nguyen Trung Hau and Pham Hoai Tam were appointed by AFC to be in charge of the match at the 2023/24 AFC Cup, the first phase in Nepal. In addition, this referee team has also been appointed by AFC to events in 2023: International friendly match between Malaysia National Team – Solomon Islands National Team in Malaysia on June 14, match in the Preliminary Phase 1.1 The 2023/24 AFC Cup South Asia tournament in Nepal on August 8 and the 42nd Merdeka Football tournament in Malaysia (from October 11 to October 18). These are also the only 3 AFC Elite referees in Vietnam at this moment.
As for individual referee Ngo Duy Lan, he has just completed his duty at the match between Pakistan National Team and Tajikistan National Team, on November 21 in Islamabad (Pakistan), within the framework of the 2026 World Cup qualifying round 2 – Asia region. Previously, referee Ngo Duy Lan also participated in officiating the first and second leg of the match between Kitchee SC Club (Hong Kong) and Bangkok United Club (Thailand), October 25 in Hong Kong (China) and Nov 8 in Bangkok (Thailand). In 2023, referee Ngo Duy Lan was also appointed to duty at the AFC Cup match (August) and Asiad 19 (last September).
Referee Ngo Duy Lan is one of four FIFA referees in Vietnam, and is also a senior referee of the Asian Football Confederation who is regularly appointed to run official tournaments and matches.
