VFF held a gratitude ceremony for coach Mai Duc Chung
On the evening of February 4, VFF held a ceremony of gratitude for Mr. Mai Duc Chung – former head coach of the Vietnam women’s team.
At the ceremony, Mr. Tran Anh Tu – Vice President of the Vietnam Football Federation, on behalf of the Standing Committee of the Executive Committee, thanked coach Mai Duc Chung. During his time as head coach of the football team, Mr. Mai Duc Chung and his team won 6/8 SEA Games gold medals and especially brought the women’s team to the 2023 World Cup. Even in difficult circumstances such as when the team competing in the Women’s Asian Cup, the squad was almost exhausted by Covid-19, but team worked hard to qualify to the 2023 World Cup.
The achievements that coach Mai Duc Chung achieved with Vietnamese football in general and women’s football in particular are very impressive and very difficult to “overthrow”.
Former Head Coach of the Vietnam Women’s National Team, Mr. Mai Duc Chung could not hide his emotions when attending the Appreciation meeting organized by VFF. Coach Mai Duc Chung thanked the sports industry leaders and VFF for always trusting him to lead the women’s team. On this occasion, Mr. Mai Duc Chung also thanked the Centers, Women’s Football Clubs, Coaches and players for always accompanying him. Coach Mai Duc Chung sends his condolences and hopes that Vietnamese women’s football will continue to grow stronger in the future.
At the gratitude ceremony, VFF leaders presented a gift to coach Mai Duc Chung.
