Responding to the 2024 AFC Women’s Football Festival
Responding to the Women’s Football Festival launched by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), VFF coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Nam province to organize a number of activities to celebrate this event at Ha Nam Stadium on March 8.
Attending the event were Ms. Nguyen Thanh Ha – VFF’s Deputy General Secretary; Mr. Pham Hai Anh – Member of the Women’s Football Committee of the Vietnam Football Federation; Mr. Luu Quang Dien Bien – Director of Grassroots, Coaching Education and Affiliated MAs; members of the coaching staff and nearly 100 young female players from the U11-12, U14, U16 and U19 Ha Nam teams.
Speaking at the event, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Ha – VFF Deputy General Secretary emphasized: “As an active member of AFC, for many years, the Vietnam Football Federation has always paid attention to and created conditions to develop women’s football in Vietnam, through many activity programs, including the AFC Women’s Football Festival. This year, with the support of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Nam province, the Ha Nam Provincial Sports Training and Competition Center, VFF is very happy that the event was held for the first time in Ha Nam, a place considered as one of the cradles of Vietnamese women’s football development. VFF believes this will be an extremely meaningful activity, attracting the attention of leaders, media, and women’s football fans, contributing to the development of the Hanoi women’s football grassroots in particular and Vietnamese women’s football in general.”
On behalf of the VFF, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Ha sent her thanks to the leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Nam province and the Ha Nam Sports Training and Competition Center for coordinating to organizing meaningful activities, and at the same time thanked Thank you to the media agencies for paying attention and reporting on the event. “VFF would like to thank the parents for trusting and creating conditions for Ha Nam female football players to participate in football and thank the fans for always caring and supporting Vietnamese women’s football. On the occasion of International Women’s Day March 8, we wish female players to always be beautiful and enthusiastic in training to achieve more success, contributing to bringing Vietnamese women’s football forward” – Ms. Nguyen Thanh Ha said.
To honor women’s football and encourage the spirit of female players in all member federations, this event has become an annual activity of VFF, thereby conveying the message of Fair-play spirit, solidarity between young players, and development of Vietnamese women’s football.
Also at the event, nearly 100 young female athletes from Ha Nam had the opportunity to interact, exchange skills and competition experience, and participate in group activities together under the guidance of former players Nguyen Thi Tuyet Dung (Vietnam Golden Ball 2014), Tran Thi Hong Nhung…
