The Vietnam women’s futsal team ranks 11th in the world and 4th in Asia
According to the latest rankings released by FIFA, the Vietnam women’s futsal team has climbed to 11th place in the world and 4th in the continent.
This ranking reflects the strong performance of the Vietnam women’s futsal team in recent times. Specifically, at a friendly tournament held in China in July, Coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang’s squad achieved 1 victory and 2 draws. In the recently concluded tournament in Thailand, the team won the championship with 3 wins and 1 draw, with the only draw coming against the host nation, Thailand (ranked 6th in the world), after leading until the final seconds of the second half.
Previously, in the first-ever ranking for national women’s futsal teams, Vietnam was placed 13th in the world. The rise to 11th in the October rankings is a positive sign for the team. With this position, Coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang’s squad is ranked 4th in Asia, behind Thailand (6th in the world), Iran (9th), and Japan (10th).
In the men’s futsal rankings, the Vietnam national team is currently 8th in Asia and 34th in the world. The entire team is now focused on preparing for the 2024 ASEAN Championship, which will take place in early November.
