Before departure, coach Nguyễn Đình Hoàng finalized the list of 16 players for the training camp (the squad will be reduced to 14 players for the final tournament after the camp). Players not included in the training camp with the team are: Lê Trịnh Khánh Linh, Danh Lâm Kim Phụng, Ngô Thị Hồng Nhung, and A Dắt Rin Tô.

After the overnight flight, the entire team arrived in Chiba city in good health and high spirits, ready for two friendly matches there. Coach Nguyễn Đình Hoàng mentioned that the temperature in Chiba ranges from 14 to 23 degrees Celsius, which differs from the climate in Ho Chi Minh City but is similar to the weather in Hohhot, the venue for the 2025 AFC Women’s Futsal Championship.

Regarding the training camp in Japan, Coach Nguyễn Đình Hoàng shared that the team will play friendly matches against FC Fugador Sumiga Ladies on April 23 and the Japan Women’s Futsal National Team on April 25.

“These two friendly matches during the training camp provide an opportunity for the coaching staff to assess the team’s preparation. We have made changes to our playing style and tactics. From these two matches, the coaching staff hopes that the players will adapt and implement the new style of play effectively when facing strong opponents, playing at a higher intensity. After this training camp, we will finalize the squad with 14 players for the finals,” Coach Nguyễn Đình Hoàng said.

At the end of the training camp, the Vietnam women’s futsal team will travel to Hohhot (Inner Mongolia, China) on May 1, where they will have their final friendly match against the China Women’s Futsal National Team on May 3, before officially competing in the tournament.
