V.League Awards 2025: Honoring the Value of Identity!
The 2024/25 National Professional Football Season officially concluded after 317 thrilling, unpredictable, and emotional matches. To recognize and honor the outstanding contributions of individuals and collectives throughout the season, the Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF), in collaboration with FPT Play Television Co., Ltd., is organizing the V.League Awards 2025. The event is taking place at Star Galaxy Center (87 Lang Ha, Hanoi) and will be broadcast live on the FPT Play platform as well as VPF’s official media channels.
Attending the event on behalf of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and VPF Company were: Mr. Trần Quốc Tuấn – President of the VFF; Mr. Trần Anh Tú – Vice President of the VFF, Chairman of the Board of Directors of VPF; Mr. Nguyễn Xuân Vũ – Vice President of the VFF; Mr. Nguyễn Trung Kiên – Vice President of the VFF; Mr. Nguyễn Quốc Hội – Standing Member of the VFF Executive Committee; Other members of the VFF Executive Committee; Mr. Nguyễn Văn Phú – General Secretary of the VFF; Mr. Nguyễn Minh Ngọc – CEO of VPF.
The event also had the honor of welcoming former leaders of the General Department of Sports and the VFF, including: Mr. Vương Bích Thắng – Former General Director of the General Department of Sports and Physical Training; Mr. Trần Duy Ly – Former Acting President of the VFF; Mr. Phạm Ngọc Viễn – Former Vice President of the VFF.
VFF President Trần Quốc Tuấn and VFF Vice President, Chairman of the VPF Board of Directors Trần Anh Tú presented bouquets and commemorative plaques to the sponsors and media partners of the league, in recognition of their valued support and companionship throughout the season.
Representing the sponsors and media partners who have accompanied Vietnamese professional football throughout the 2024/25 season were: Mr. Bùi Thái Hà – Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Loc Phat Vietnam Bank, the Title Sponsor of the 2024/25 LPBank National Football Championship (V.League 1); Mr. Trần Quang Thưởng – Deputy CEO of Sao Vang Beverage Group, the Title Sponsor of the 2024/25 Sao Vang Beer National First Division (V.League 2); Mr. Hoàng Việt Anh – Chairman of FPT Telecom Joint Stock Company; Mrs. Tô Nam Phương – Deputy CEO of FPT Play; Mr. Lê Văn Thành – Chairman and CEO of Dong Luc Joint Stock Company.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Trần Anh Tú, Chairman of the Board of Directors of VPF, emphasized that the 2024/25 season holds special significance as it marks the 25-year journey of Vietnamese professional football. This milestone highlights the sport’s growth and readiness to adapt amid the nation’s strong development. With the theme “Honoring the Value of Identity,” the event is not only an award ceremony but also an opportunity to celebrate cultural values, the sporting spirit, and national identity.
This season witnessed several important developments, most notably the extensive implementation of VAR (Video Assistant Referee) technology. VAR was applied in over 90% of matches in V.League 1 as well as in key fixtures of the National First Division and the National Cup, enhancing transparency and fairness across competitions.
The 2024/25 season also delivered dramatic point races down to the final round, showcasing the players’ dedication, their pride in the colors of their teams, and the distinct identities of each club. Vietnamese professional football leagues have increasingly affirmed their status as a vibrant source of entertainment for fans, a symbol of national pride, and a bridge connecting culture and community.
VFF President Trần Quốc Tuấn and VFF Vice President, Chairman of the VPF Board of Directors Trần Anh Tú honored the champions of the LPBank V.League 1 – 2024/25, celebrating their outstanding performance and well-deserved triumph.
Notable honors at the V.League Awards 2025 included: Thép Xanh Nam Định FC crowned champions of the LPBank V.League 1; Phù Đổng Ninh Bình FC winning the National First Division; Công An Hà Nội FC securing the National Cup title. Outstanding individuals were also honored in this prestigious ceremony, such as: Alan Sebastiao Alexandre (Công An Hà Nội FC) – V.League 1 Player of the Season; Coach Vũ Hồng Việt – Best Coach of V.League 1; Nguyễn Hoàng Đức – Best Player of the First Division; Referee Hoàng Ngọc Hà – Golden Whistle Award for Best Referee.
With its symbolic and cultural significance, V.League Awards 2025 not only concluded a successful season, but also marked the beginning of a new chapter—continuing to affirm Vietnamese football’s steady and strategic development amid the global football landscape.
