Signing Ceremony and Announcement of Bia Saigon as the Official Partner of Vietnam’s National Football Teams for 2026–2029
On the morning of 28 July in Hanoi, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and the Saigon Beer–Alcohol–Beverage Corporation (SABECO) held a signing ceremony to officially announce Bia Saigon as the exclusive beer category partner of Vietnam’s National Football Teams for the 2026–2029 period.
The ceremony was attended by Ms. Lê Thị Hoàng Yến, Deputy Director General of the Vietnam Sports Authority; Mr. Trần Quốc Tuấn, AFC Standing Committee Member and President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF); VFF Vice Presidents Nguyễn Trung Kiên, Trần Anh Tú, and Nguyễn Xuân Vũ; VFF General Secretary Nguyễn Văn Phú; along with members of the VFF Executive Committee, heads of VFF departments and affiliated units. Representing SABECO were Mr. Lester Tan Teck Chuan, General Director of SABECO, Ms. Lim Pei Chi Patsy, Deputy General Director of Marketing, and other senior executives. The event was also attended by Mr. Nguyễn Văn Hùng, Chairman of Bình Minh Group; Vietnam national team head coach Kim Sang-sik; members of the national team’s coaching staff and players; as well as representatives from media and press agencies.
Speaking on behalf of the VFF, Vice President Nguyễn Trung Kiên highlighted that the renewal and elevation of the strategic partnership between the VFF and SABECO marked an important milestone, reflecting the mutual trust and strong relationship built through years of successful cooperation.
“We highly value SABECO’s continued support for Vietnam’s national football teams and its decision to elevate our strategic partnership. This not only demonstrates the company’s confidence in the development direction of Vietnamese football, but also provides additional resources to help our national teams pursue even greater ambitions in the years ahead,” Vice President Nguyễn Trung Kiên said.
Vice President Nguyễn Trung Kiên further noted that, over the years, SABECO’s support through the Bia Saigon brand has played an important role in enabling Vietnam’s national teams to prepare, train and compete in both domestic and international tournaments. This valuable support has contributed to improving the teams’ technical standards and strengthening their pursuit of greater achievements at both regional and continental levels. Entering this new phase of cooperation, the VFF and SABECO will continue to work together on a wide range of meaningful initiatives aimed at promoting the love of football, fostering unity and national pride, and inspiring fans across the country.
On behalf of SABECO, Mr. Lester Tan Teck Chuan, General Director of SABECO, reaffirmed the company’s long-term commitment to the development of Vietnamese football through its continued partnership with the national teams. “For us, continuing to support Vietnam’s National Football Teams is not merely an extension of our role as a partner. It also reflects SABECO’s strong belief in Vietnamese football, in the unifying power of sport, and in the pride and spirit that can bring millions of Vietnamese people together behind one flag, one national team, and one shared dream,” Mr. Lester Tan Teck Chuan said.
SABECO General Director Lester Tan Teck Chuan expressed his hope that the partnership with the VFF would continue to promote the love of football, bring fans closer to Vietnam’s national teams, and help create an environment where future generations of players can develop, pursue their ambitions and strive for new successes in the years ahead.
Meanwhile, VFF General Secretary Nguyễn Văn Phú noted that the partnership between the VFF and SABECO was first established in 2022. Building on the achievements of the past four years, the renewal and elevation of the strategic partnership for the 2026–2029 period further reaffirm the long-term commitment of both parties to the development of Vietnam’s national football teams. It also represents another important step in mobilising social resources to support the growth of a more professional, modern and sustainable Vietnamese football ecosystem, while helping the national teams pursue new achievements on both the regional and international stage.
