Da Nang Crowned 2026 National Beach Soccer Champions
Da Nang were crowned champions of the 2026 National Beach Soccer Championship after defeating Huế Time Square 3-1 in an exciting final played on the evening of 1 August at the Quy Nhơn Beach Soccer Stadium in Gia Lai. Displaying composure and clinical finishing, Da Nang secured the national title with an impressive victory.
Determined to make a strong start, Da Nang seized the initiative early as Trần Kim Trung opened the scoring in just the fourth minute. The early breakthrough gave the Han River side confidence, allowing them to control the tempo despite relentless pressure from Huế Time Square.
Da Nang extended their advantage in the second period. In the 20th minute, Phan Đạt found the back of the net to double the lead before Trần Ngọc Bảo added a third goal just four minutes later, giving Da Nang a commanding 3-0 cushion heading into the final period.
With nothing left to lose, Huế Time Square pushed more players forward in search of a comeback. Their efforts were rewarded in the 35th minute when Nguyễn Anh Quang pulled one back to reduce the deficit to 3-1. However, the remaining time proved insufficient for the former imperial city side to stage a comeback.
At the final whistle, Da Nang claimed a convincing 3-1 victory over Huế Time Square, securing the 2026 National Beach Soccer Championship title.
The championship trophy was a fitting reward for Da Nang’s outstanding campaign. The Han River side completed the tournament with a perfect record, winning all three group-stage matches before defeating Tài Ngân Quy Nhơn in the semi-finals and overcoming Huế Time Square in the final to lift the title.
At the conclusion of the 2026 National Beach Soccer Championship, Da Nang were crowned champions, Huế Time Square finished as runners-up, while Tài Ngân Quy Nhơn claimed third place after edging Tây Ninh 7-6 in the third-place play-off.
In addition to the team honours, the Organising Committee also presented individual awards. Da Nang received the Fair Play Award, while Trần Ngọc Bảo of Da Nang was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player. Ngô Tấn Tài of Tây Ninh finished as the Top Scorer, and Nguyễn Anh Quang of Huế Time Square was recognised as the Best Goalkeeper of the tournament.
The 2026 National Beach Soccer Championship concluded on a high note, featuring a series of exciting matches, an improved standard of play, and fierce competition among the participating teams. The tournament’s success further contributed to the development of beach soccer in Vietnam, while encouraging localities and clubs to continue investing in the sport, strengthening their squads, and striving for even greater achievements in the years ahead.
