THACO National Super Cup 2025/26: CAHN FC show their strength
CAHN FC – champions of the LPBank V.League 1 2025/26 – showed their strength from the opening whistle in the THACO National Super Cup 2025/26 against Cong An Ho Chi Minh City FC, winners of the LPBank Securities National Cup 2025/26…
Entering the first half, Alexandre Polking’s side took the initiative, imposing their style of play and putting the opposition under intense pressure. In the 8th minute, following an attack down the left flank, Quang Vinh delivered a pinpoint cross for Alan to head home and open the scoring.
CAHN FC continued to dominate and created a series of chances to extend their lead, keeping goalkeeper Patrik Le Giang under constant pressure. In the 27th minute, Cong An Ho Chi Minh City FC conceded a second goal, with the familiar goalscorer Alan (No. 72) finding the net once again.
Arthur Diles’ side tried to regain control of the game and launched a series of attacks in search of a way back into the match. However, Cong An Ho Chi Minh City FC lacked the cutting edge needed to break through CAHN FC’s defence. It was not until the 45th minute that they created their first clear chance, with Williams Minh Hoang making a determined run before attempting a finish.
With their attack struggling to make an impact, goalkeeper Patrik Le Giang conceded a third goal in the third minute of stoppage time. Perea (No. 90) broke into the box to meet Alan’s pass and calmly finished to put CAHN FC three goals ahead.
Both CAHN FC and Cong An Ho Chi Minh City FC made several personnel changes at the start of the second half as they looked to pursue their respective objectives. Arthur Diles’ players pushed forward in an effort to reduce the deficit, but the limited chances they created were not enough to beat goalkeeper Nguyen Filip.
At the other end, CAHN FC’s second-half substitutes made an immediate impact, leaving their mark on the scoresheet.
In the 69th minute, Dinh Bac, who had come on as a substitute, broke through on goal, received a pass from his teammate and confidently rounded goalkeeper Patrik Le Giang before making it 4-0.
Just three minutes later, Putros (No. 55) further extended CAHN FC’s lead with a fifth goal. Despite their efforts, Cong An Ho Chi Minh City FC were unable to find a consolation goal and eventually suffered a 0-5 defeat.
With their emphatic victory in the THACO National Super Cup 2025/26, Alexandre Polking’s side once again underlined their status as one of the leading contenders for the LPBank V.League 1 2026/27 title. CAHN FC boast a squad of quality players and impressive depth, allowing them to compete on multiple fronts.
