Viet Nam top in ASEAN football

However the team dropped three points down to No 127 in the world ranking and one step down to No 17 in Asia.

The drop in ranks happened due to their 0-1 loss to Thailand last month in a 2018 World Cup qualifier.

While the victory helped the Thais jump 13 steps up in the world ranking at No 129, they are still No 2 in the Southeast Asian region but narrowed the gap with Viet Nam.

The Philippines is at the third place.

On the top three slots of the world ranking are Germany, Belgium and Argentina.
