AFF 8th Council Meeting in Hanoi

The delegation included AFF President Khiev Sameth, AFF General Secretary Winston Lee and representatives of MAs. VFF Acting President Tran Quoc Tuan attended the meeting as a Council Member.

Speaking at the meeting, VFF Acting President Tran Quoc Tuan said: “First of all, on behalf of Vietnam Football Federation, I would like to convey the warmest greetings and warmly welcome to Major General Khiev Sameth  – AFF President and all AFF Council members for the 8th AFF Council meetings in Hanoi, Vietnam.

It is actually a special occasion when the AFF Council meeting is taken place right after the Final match of Men’ s Football Competition – SEA Games 31 Vietnam 2021. As you can see, football is always the connection of great emotions and feelings, and these things were showed in the most ever excited atmosphere in My Dinh Stadium yesterday”.

“In spite the fact that, VFF is not the main organiser of SEA Games, but during the last 3 weeks, we have made great efforts to organise the men’s, women’s football and futsal with our best conditions. And on this occasion, we would like to express the sincere thanks to all the Member Federations of Asean for your great support for the success of all football competitions.

I strongly hope that with the cooperation and support each other among AFF members, Asean football shall continue achieving much more fruitful achievements in the future”, Dr. Tran Quoc Tuan shared.

The meeting discussed and approved the Briefing of AFF Legal Committee included: amendments to AFF Consitution; AFF Electoral Code; Integrity Check for Candidates; Guidelines for the Conduct of Candidates; Formation of AFF Disciplinary Committee and AFF Appeals Committee. The meeting also agreed to the contents related to the AFF Extraordinary Congress and AFF Elective Congress.
