Nguyen Thi Thanh Hang, vice-chairwoman of the People’s Committee of Hanoi, feels that Vision Vietnam has provided a golden opportunity to develop football in the Vietnamese capital.

Welcoming the AFC Vision Asia delegation recently, she said that the People’s Committee of Hanoi will provide all necessary help and create best conditions for the project to achieve its goals. She has also instructed the sports and education departments to support the project.
Earlier, Nguyen Dinh Lan, Deputy Director of Department for Culture, Sports and Tourism and Vice-President of Hanoi Football Association, highly appreciated the impact of Vision Asia on football development across Asia.
Vietnam was one of the first countries chosen for the Vision Asia project. Nguyen Dinh Lan said his association was fully committed to support and facilitate the project in Hanoi as he believed that Vision Vietnam–Project Hanoi will make a significant contribution to the comprehensive and stable development of football.
“Vision Asia is a long-term project to develop football to a new height. We will have a draft plan for football development as soon as possible,” said Vision Asia Project Director Brendan Menton.
Hanoi FA General Secretary Phan Anh Tu presented the current status of football in Hanoi, together with its advantages and disadvantages. With the assistance coming from AFC Vision Asia tam and also the football stakeholders in Hanoi, Tu believes that Hanoi FA can find a right way to develop.
VFF General Secretary Dr Tran Quac Tuan and Vietnam national team coach Henrique Calisto were also present on the occasion.
