Da Nang occupied the second place in the table, cutting their gap with leaders Binh Duong, who will visit Hanoi on June 17, to seven points after trouncing Huda Hue 4-0.
Skipper Le Hong Minh, Truong Quang Tuan, Almeida De Emidio and Rogerio Machado Pereira were the scorers for Da Nang.
Elsewhere in Dong Thap, Dong Thap were held to a 0-0 draw by Halida Thanh Hoa, who lost their second place to Da Nang.
Da Nang”s manager Phan Thanh Hung lined up many young players when his team hosted bottom-placed Huda Hue. However, it took the hosts only 23 minutes to take the lead. Skipper Hong Minh beat goalie Munze Ulrich, opening the scoring in a one-on-one confrontation. Released by Nguyen Van Meo, Hong Minh rounded a defender of Huda Hue before beating Ulrich, who minutes earlier made a good save to deny De Emidio”s finish from close range.
Two minutes later, Quang Tuan extended the lead, finishing off the rebound after Ulrich blocked De Emidio”s header.

Huda Hue”s manager Doan Phung replaced goalkeeper Ulrich with his Vietnamese deputy, paving the way for another foreign striker Uzoehere Basden Wilcox. However, the change failed to impact on out-of-sort Huda Hue.
Two minutes before half-time, De Emidio found Huda Hue”s net with Van Meo provider.
After the break, Da Nang reduced their attacking tempo, but Huda Hue never came back to the game.
Pereira sealed a 4-0 victory for Da Nang with three minutes left. The victory put Da Nang on the second spot with a total of 26 points after 15 weeks.

Dong Thap were determined to earn a victory over Halida Thanh Hoa as a farewell gift for their manager Lai Hong Van, who will be replaced by Doan Minh Xuong when the V-League resume its matches after a month break for the national team to prepare and compete at the 2007 AFC Asian Cup.
The hosts dominated the game but failed to break the deadlock. Bosango Albert had his first finish blocked by Kizito Lawrence after 20 minutes.
Fifteen minutes later, Albert wasted another chance as he gave goalie Lytovka Mykola enough time to clear the ball in front of his nose.
Chau Phong Hoa came closest to breaking the deadlock in the second half, rounding Mykola but finishing over the bar.
At the other end, Mai Tien Thanh forced a good save from Bui Tan Truong, powering a finish from 20 metres.
