AFF and QFA workshop to help federations build revenue streams
PETALING JAYA (26 Oct 2020) – The Asean Football Federation (AFF) and the Qatar Football Association (QFA), in partnership with Josoor Institute, recently hosted a webinar titled ‘Bouncing back from COVID-19 – safely returning to play and rebuilding revenues’ for the 12-member associations of the ASEAN region.
VFF’s leaders join in the FIFA Congress convened remotely for the first time
The 70th FIFA Congress was held at 20h00 on 18th Sep (GMT+7). Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, this year is the first time FIFA Congress had to do via videoconference to approve important decisions of the world football in the upcoming period. VFF’s delegate joins in the congress included: Permanent Vice President Trần Quốc Tuấn; Vice President Cao Văn Chóng; General Secretary Lê Hoài Anh; and Deputy General Secretary Nguyễn Thanh Hà.
Opening AFC ‘C’ Coaching certificate course 2020
(15th Sep) The opening ceremony of the AFC ‘C’ Coaching certificate course 2020 with the attending of 24 students from the clubs and football center in the whole country was held at the office of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF).

The Japan Football Association (JFA) has decided to post Philippe Troussier at the 17th Japan Football Hall of Fame. It was resolved and announced at the JFA Board of Directors on September 10.
AFC decides to cancel AFC Cup 2020 and keep organizing AFC Champions League 2020
On the afternoon of 10th Sep, the AFC Executive Committee had an online meeting to evaluate and discuss the main decisions to organize tournaments in the later period of 2020. VFF Permanent Vice President Trần Quốc Tuấn joined the meeting as a member of the AFC Executive Committee, Director of the Competition Department.

On the morning of 8th Sep (local’s time), Austria’ media stated that Coach Alfred Riedl passed away because of cancer at his home town. The former head coach of the Vietnam National Team was born in 2nd Nov 1949, and passed away at 71 years old.
