As part of its youth women’s football development programme, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), in collaboration with FIFA, is organizing a nationwide talent identification initiative across three regions of the country. The programme aims to discover and nurture promising young female players for the future of Vietnamese women’s football.

VFF surveys and promotes women’s football development in Quang Tri Province and Hue City
Implementing the women’s football development strategy of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), alongside the UEFA/AFC Women’s Football Development Support Programme, a VFF delegation conducted a working visit and field survey of the women’s football movement in Quang Tri Province and Hue City from May 19 to 21, 2026. These localities are considered to have strong potential for the future development of women’s football.

On the day of receiving the commemorative medal “For the Cause of Vietnamese Football” awarded by the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), on the morning of 17 May in Ho Chi Minh City, coach Guillaume Graechen—the mentor closely associated with the generation of players such as Công Phượng and Xuân Trường—offered special words of encouragement to Vietnam U17 national football team following their qualification for the 2026 FIFA U17 World Cup. He affirmed that this achievement serves as an important motivation for Vietnamese youth football to make further breakthroughs in the future.
Vietnam Football Federation launches school football programme experience activities at Marie Curie School
As part of the cooperation agreement between the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and the Union of European Football Associations on women’s football development (UEFA/AFC), the VFF has launched experiential and pilot training activities at several schools. The first stop was Marie Curie School, where a physical education session was organised for students.

Closing ceremony of the FIFA Workshop on Enhancing Women’s Football Management Capacity
After three days of active and productive work, the Workshop on Enhancing Administrative Management Capacity under the Women’s Football Development Program supported by FIFA officially concluded today, May 8, in Thai Nguyen. All participants successfully completed the workshop agenda, which delivered many practical values for the development of women’s football in Vietnam.

FIFA Management Capacity Development Workshop
From May 6 to 8 in Thai Nguyen, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), in collaboration with FIFA and relevant agencies, organized a FIFA Capacity Building Workshop for Management Officials. Thai Nguyen is also the host province for the 2026 National Women’s Football Cup, scheduled to take place from May 13 to 27.
