Two national football teams nominated for “Sports Achievement of the Year” at the 2026 Devotion Awards
The 20th Devotion Awards 2026, organized by Sports & Culture Newspaper (Vietnam News Agency), have officially announced the list of nominees in the sports categories. Notably, Vietnamese football has two representatives in the top three nominees for the “Sports Achievement of the Year” category, namely the Vietnam U22 National Team and the Vietnam Women’s Futsal National Team.

Vietnamese Football receives Four Certificates of Merit from the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism
The Minister of Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam has issued Decision No. 354/QĐ-BVHTTDL on awarding Certificates of Merit to four teams and 23 individuals selected as the Outstanding National Teams, Coaches and Athletes of 2025. Vietnamese football is honored to receive four Certificates of Merit from the Minister, including the Vietnam U22 National Football Team, head coach Kim Sang-sik, head coach Mai Duc Chung, and player Nguyen Dinh Bac.

VFF surveys facilities and conditions for grassroots women’s football development in the Mekong Delta region
In implementation of the Women’s Football Development Strategy approved by the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) in June 2025, and with the support of the FIFA and UEFA Women’s Football Development Programmes, a VFF delegation conducted working visits to provinces in the Mekong Delta from 28 to 30 January 2026 to assess the current status of women’s football in three localities: Can Tho, Vinh Long and Dong Thap.
