Viet Nam win 3-2 over Thailand in the first round match of the ASEAN Under-19 Football Championship yesterday in Indonesia.
The victory placed Viet Nam in the second place for Group B, behind the host who defeated Brunei 4-0 in a later match.
Viet Nam will next meet Malaysia tomorrow.
The championship lures all 11 members of the ASEAN region. The teams will be divided into two groups. Two best teams of each group will advance to the semi-finals.
The final match is scheduled on September 22.
