Closing ceremony of the AFC Futsal Level 1 Certificate Coaching Course in Hanoi
On the afternoon of April 3rd, the AFC Futsal Level 1 Certificate Coaching Course in Hanoi was successfully closed at the headquarters of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) after 6 days of learning and training.

Attending the closing ceremony were Mr. Nguyễn Minh Châu – Deputy Secretary General of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), Mr. Lưu Quang Điện Biên – Director of the Grassroots, Coaching Education and Affiliated MAs; instructors Ngô Lê Bằng and Trương Quốc Tuấn from Thái Sơn Nam Futsal Club in Ho Chi Minh City, along with 20 trainees who are coaches from various units and localities.
Assessing the overall results of the course, Instructor Ngô Lê Bằng stated: “The activities in the course were carried out according to the program approved by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), including lessons, theoretical exams, and practical sessions. The course has achieved many positive results, with the participants showing a strong learning spirit, actively absorbing knowledge. We hope that the participants will become high-quality coaches for youth futsal teams, grassroots movements, and contribute to the development not only of futsal but also of Vietnamese football as a whole.”
Also participating as an instructor in the course, Instructor Trương Quốc Tuấn shared: “The fact that more futsal courses are being organized in Hanoi shows the efforts to develop futsal in the northern region. The participants in these courses will be the pioneers. The instructors hope that the participants will maintain connections and continue to exchange ideas on work-related issues. The instructors are always ready to share with the participants to help them further enhance their knowledge.” The instructor from Thái Sơn Nam Futsal Club TP HCM also expressed gratitude to the AFC and the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) for their trust and for appointing him as an instructor for this course.
On behalf of the participants, Coach Phạm Trường Minh expressed gratitude to the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) for providing the opportunity for participants to attend the official AFC course, with professional organization and excellent facilities. “Although the course duration was short, the extensive theoretical and practical knowledge, along with the dedication of the instructors, helped the participants improve their coaching abilities. The members of the course made great efforts to focus on learning and fully participate in the program. While the results may vary, all participants are proud of their efforts.” Coach Phạm Trường Minh also expressed a desire to continue attending future, more specialized futsal courses to apply the updated knowledge at local football teams and clubs.
A representative of the leadership of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) attending the closing ceremony, Mr. Nguyễn Minh Châu – Deputy Secretary General of VFF, highly appreciated the performance of the participants. “The instructors of this course are all coaches who are passionate about futsal in particular and Vietnamese football in general. They have contributed to compiling futsal regulations and spreading futsal knowledge. On behalf of the leadership of VFF, I would like to express our sincere thanks to the instructors.”
“The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) always creates conditions for the training of future talent. The participants are all young coaches, which shows the desire to learn and develop futsal in localities. The futsal competition system is always prioritized by VFF, with high-quality matches. The national men’s futsal team has even earned the right to compete on the world stage. These will serve as foundations for futsal in Vietnam to continue growing strongly.”
The AFC Futsal Level 1 Certificate coaching course in Hanoi was held from March 29 to April 3 at the Vietnam Football Youth Training Center. This is the second AFC Futsal Level 1 Certificate coaching course in 2025, held in the northern region.
