Condolences from AFC President
On August 13, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) received a letter of condolences from the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) about the accident of Hoang Anh Gia Lai club members that occurred on August 12, 2023.
In the letter, AFC President Salman Bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa expressed his condolences over this tragic incident. “It is with heavy heart and shock that I receive the news of the tragic traffic accident involving the representatives from Hoang Anh Gia Lai FC yesterday, that resulted in the sad and untimely demise of their Assistant Coach Duong Minh Ninh, player Paollo Madeira Oliveira and team physician Tri Dao on the way back from their league match”.
The AFC President would like to extend his condolences and deep sympathies to the families of the deceased victims and wish the injured a speedy recovery. “I sincerely hope for the swift and complete recovery of all those injured. The Asian football family stands in solidarity with the Vietnamese football family in these difficult times”.
Today (August 14), VFF delegation, led by General Secretary Duong Nghiep Khoi, presents in Pleiku and attend the Funeral of coach Duong Minh Ninh (visiting from August 13 to August 16) and Doctor Dao Trong Tri (visiting from August 13 to August 14).
