LG Hanoi ACB kept their place in the V-League for the next season after beating First division side Ton Hoa Sen Can Tho 2-1 in the playoff recently.

Mauricio scored the first goal for LG Hanoi after chesting down the ball from a long cross and beating goalkeeper Thanh Tuan with a sharp stab. Mauricio was again in the thick of the action in the second period and set up Phuc Lam who made no mistake in front of the goal. Ton Hoa Sen Can Tho pulled one back through Benjamin in stoppage time.
LG Hanoi ACB were forced into the playoff after a solitary goal defeat to Binh Duong which saw them finishing 11th in the 12-club league.
There will be 14 clubs in the V-League next season. They are Dong Tam Long An, Da Nang, Binh Duong, Hoang Anh Gia Lai, PJICO Song Lam Nghe An, Mitsustar Haiphong, Song Da Nam Dinh, Southern Steel Saigon Port, Hoa Lam Binh, Hoa Phat Hanoi, LG.HN.ACB, Khatoco Khanh Hoa, Tien Giang and East Asia Bank Pomina Steel.
