Deploying the organization of the Qualifiers of the 2024 AFC U-20 Women’s Asian Cup- Group F
On the afternoon of February 24, at the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Tho province, a meeting was held between the local organizers and the Vietnam Football Federation on the organization of the qualifying round for the 2024 AFC U-20 Women’s Asian Cup- Group F.
At the meeting, the organisation committee’s members gave a quick report on each issue: competition organization, communication, sponsorship, security…, and agreed on plans to organize the opening match between the U20 Vietnam Women’s Team and U20 Indonesia Women’s Team. Accordingly, the work of ensuring security and traffic safety, fire and explosion prevention, medical work, power supply… in areas of specialized rooms, places of practice, accommodation, competitions, press conferences of the teams and organisation committee deployed according to the regulations of the tournament.
At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Dac Thuy – Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Tho province, deputy chairman of the LOC of Group F, noted that the inspection department had well prepared the conditions in terms of sound, light, and equipment in specialized rooms to ensure organizational conditions according to international standards; The Department of Information and Communications directs the promotion of information and propaganda on the mass media before, during and after the matches to attract the attention of fans to contribute the image of the city.
According to the plan, the qualifying round of the AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup 2024 Qualifier- Group F will take place from March 7 to 11 at Viet Tri Stadium (Phu Tho) with the participation of 4 U20 teams including: India , Indonesia, Singapore and host Vietnam. Teams compete in a round-robin format, choosing a first-place team to participate in the Second Qualifier taking place from 1 to 11/6. The U20 Vietnam women’s team will have their opening match against Indonesia at 6pm on March 7, Singapore at 6pm on March 9 and India at 6pm on March 11.
Currently, the U20 Vietnam women’s team is practicing at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center. It is expected that team of coach Akira Ijiri will be present in Viet Tri city on March 1.
