VFF finished the contract ahead of time with head coach Falko Götz

The ceremony indicating the end of contract ahead of time with Mr. Falko Götz was held at head quarter of Vietnam Football Federation on 6/1. Mr. Falko Götz officially said goodbye to Vietnam football after 7 months leading Vietnam national team & Olympic team.

Speaking to reporters, the German strategist said: “However my working hours in Vietnamwas short but it left plenty of memories inside my mind. Under my leadership, Vietnam National Team had many positive results. These matches with Macau, Qatar and Japan left many good impressions on fans. By the way, I also would like to reiterate once again that, despite the fact that there are many conflicting opinions about performance of U23 National Team, I can affirm that the players did not let me down. They have practiced so well and contributed their best talents. However, there’s a reality we need to accept: sometime our competitor is stronger”.

Head coach Falko Götz said that although he is no longer the headcoach of Vietnam national team and Olympic team; he will spend his time to monitor the steps of his players. For him, despite the brief time of travelling with Vietnam football but it became a hallmark of his career coach. Therefore, what he would say in farewell moment is simply a goodbye.

Mr. Falko Götz also would like say thank you to the fans who taking emotion for team and for him personally, for the support and cooperation of Vietnam Football Federation and for the media attention during his work in Vietnam. Head coach Falko Götz also put his faith the players. “They’re talented youngsters and I do hope they will accomplish the dream of the fans”
