Announcement of the 2026 National U13 Football Championship – Yamaha Cup
This morning (April 21), the Organizing Committee of the 2026 National U13 Football Championship held a press conference to officially announce the tournament and its title sponsor.

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Trần Quốc Tuấn – FIFA Competition Committee Member, AFC Executive Committee Member, and President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF); journalist Nguyễn Phan Khuê – Editor-in-Chief of Thiếu niên Tiền phong và Nhi đồng newspaper and Co-head of the Organizing Committee; Ms. Đinh Thị Thu Trang – VFF Deputy General Secretary and Co-head of the Organizing Committee; Mr. Okutani Masahiro – General Director of Yamaha Motor Vietnam Co., Ltd.; along with partners, sponsors, national team players Khuất Văn Khang and Công Phương, and representatives of U13 Thể Công Viettel.
The National U13 Football Championship is part of the national competition system, jointly organized on an annual basis by the VFF and Thiếu niên Tiền phong và Nhi đồng newspaper. Entering its 30th edition, the tournament has garnered strong support from State authorities, football fans nationwide, and especially young players across the country.
Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the VFF Standing Committee, Mr. Trần Quốc Tuấn – FIFA Competition Committee Member, AFC Executive Committee Member, and President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) – congratulated the tournament on reaching its 30th edition. He also acknowledged and highly appreciated the sustained efforts of Thiếu niên Tiền phong và Nhi đồng newspaper and its partners in accompanying the VFF in developing Vietnamese football.
Mr. Trần Quốc Tuấn affirmed that the VFF will continue to work closely with relevant stakeholders and create the most favorable conditions for the tournament to maintain its quality and effectiveness, thereby contributing to the identification and development of young talents and promoting the sustainable growth of football in Vietnam.
With the aspiration of nurturing young football talents and the motto “Inspiring future talents,” since 2003, Yamaha Motor Vietnam Co., Ltd. has implemented various sponsorship activities for the National U13 and U11 Football Championships.
The tournament has become a cradle fostering the passion of many generations of outstanding players, including Duy Mạnh, Quang Hải, Đình Trọng, Đoàn Văn Hậu, Tuấn Hải, Văn Toàn, Hoàng Đức, Nhâm Mạnh Dũng, Khuất Văn Khang, Đình Bắc, and Nguyễn Công Phương.
This success reflects Yamaha’s strong commitment and contributions to the development of youth football in Vietnam.
This year, Yamaha Motor Vietnam Co., Ltd. continues to accompany the National U13 Football Championship – Yamaha Cup 2026. The tournament will take place from June 2 to July 14, 2026, featuring 47 U13 teams from 23 provinces and cities across the country.
The qualifying round will be held in three regions nationwide from June 2 to June 22, 2026:
– Dak Lak group: from June 2 to June 16, 2026
– Hai Phong group: from June 6 to June 18, 2026
– Quang Ngai group: from June 10 to June 22, 2026
The final round will be hosted in Hai Phong City from June 30 to July 14, 2026, with the participation of the 16 best U13 teams advancing from the qualifiers.
Prize Structure
Team Awards:
– First Prize: Trophy, Flag, Gold Medals, and cash prize
– Second Prize: Flag, Silver Medals, and cash prize
– Third Prize (02 teams): Flag, Bronze Medals, and cash prize
– Fair Play Award: Fair Play Trophy, Flag, and cash prize
Individual Awards:
– Top Scorer of the Final Round (in case of a tie, players with the same highest number of goals will all receive the award);
– Best Goalkeeper of the Final Round;
– Best Player of the Final Round;
– Selected Outstanding Players: 11 players.
