Announcing sponsors for V–League and National First Division

The same as previous season, National First Division, Sino Cup 2009 has participation of 14 clubs: An Do An Giang, Binh Dinh, Dong Nai Berjaya, Hancofood Can Tho, Hanoi ACB, Hoa Phat Hanoi, Huda Hue, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Sai Gon United, Quang Ninh Coal, Tay Ninh, Tien Giang, Vinakansai Cement Ninh Binh.
Clubs will play round robin. Two top clubs are eligible to play at V-Leaague 2010 and club of third place will have a play-off match with the twelfth of V-League to decide who will have place at V-League next year.
National First Division 2009 will kick off on 6th Feb 2009.
Previously, VFF also resigned a sponsorship of agreement with Petro Vietnam Gas Group as well. This agreement saw Petro Vietnam Gas being the exclusive sponsor for V-League 2009 which is officially named Petro Vietnam Gas V-League 2009.

Petro Vietnam Gas V-League 2009 gathers 14 best clubs in Vietnam including Becamex Binh Duong, Nam Dinh, Dong Tam Long An, Xi Mang Cong Thanh Thanh Hoa, Hoang Anh Gia Lai, Khatoco Khanh Hoa, SHB Da Nang, Song Lam Nghe An, Thep Mien Nam Cang Sai Gon, The Cong, Xi Mang Hai Phong, Cao Su Dong Thap, Quan Khu 4 and T&T Hanoi.
The first round of Petro Vietnam Gas V-League 2009 will take place on 7th Feb 2009, one day later than National First Division. 14 clubs will compete round robin to define the champion.
