Mr. Tran Anh Tu, Vice President of the Vietnam Football Federation, Head of the National Futsal Committee said: “Looking back at the 2023 HDBank National Championship Futsal season shows the positive effect when the tournament is organized in a home-away format. guest. After 6 years of organizing with a concentrated competition format at one location, switching to home-away competition is an extremely difficult problem. But after the recent “hinge” season of 2023, we have obtained positive results. The home-away effect immediately proves attractive to fans when team identity, tradition, and local pride are highlighted. The stadiums filled with spectators in Ho Chi Minh City and Nha Trang are proof. Professionally, foreign soldiers appear to have a positive impact on Vietnamese Futsal. The presence of foreign soldiers not only makes the fans curious and interested in coming to the field to see the qualifications of foreign players, but also internal soldiers have the opportunity to learn more about professional competition. . These things will be maintained by the organizers in the 2024 HDBank Futsal Tournament. We hope that in 2024 we will coordinate with VOV and HDBank to overcome existing limitations, as well as enhance the value of Futsal.”
In 2024, Vietnam Futsal will have a very busy schedule with participation in the AFC Asian Fustal and the AFF Championship, while also aiming to participate in the FIFA Futsal World Cup for the third time. Mr. Tran Minh Hung – Deputy General Director of the Voice of Vietnam, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Olympic Committee – Co-Head of the National Futsal Steering Committee said that the Organizing Committee will make reasonable adjustments in the organization to looking forward to a successful 2024 season. “In the 2024 season, there will be many goals that Futsal tournaments need to strive to complete, thereby helping Futsal tournaments become more and more professional. The organizing committee aims for the 8th season to be more successful than the previous 7 seasons. We will promote widespread communication across all content platforms of the Voice of Vietnam. VOV has the strength of a national multimedia press agency with all types of modern journalism. This year’s season, in addition to traditional channels on radio and television such as: VOV1, VOV2, VOV Traffic, VOVTV, VTC television channels, the Voice of Vietnam will promote information about the tournament and broadcast on digital content systems such as: VOV Live digital content system, VTC Now, VOV.vn electronic newspaper, VTCNews, Voice of Vietnam newspaper and official channels on social networks association of all these units. In addition to VOV’s multimedia communication system, the Tournament is also widely advertised in major newspapers and other information sites,” Mr. Tran Minh Hung emphasized.
The development history of the National Futsal Championship from 2007 to present and the National Futsal Cup from 2015 to present has always had a great impression from the important contributions of HDBank as the main sponsor of the Tournament. Following the success of the 2023 season – a “hinge” season in changing the competition format from gathering at one location to a home-away format, the 2024 HDBank Futsal National Championship will continue to be held in 3 big cities: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Nha Trang. Each club is allowed to register 1 foreign player and 1 player of Vietnamese origin, and maintain the 2-round-robin format at home and away, to calculate the final ranking points.
According to the plan, the 2024 HDBank Futsal National Championship will take place from February 22 to July 31 with 8 participating teams, playing 56 matches in a double round-robin format, first leg and second leg (home – away) to Calculate the final ranking score.
The first 3 rounds of the tournament will take place from February 22 to March 7, then the tournament will take a break for the Vietnam Futsal team to gather, train and attend the 2024 Asian Futsal in Thailand, with the target is to win tickets to the 2024 Futsal World Cup. The tournament will return with matches in round 4, on June 1. The second leg of the tournament will last from June 25 to July 31.
There are currently 8 teams confirmed to participate in this year’s season, including: Thai Son Nam Ho Chi Minh City, Thai Son Bac, Sahako FC, Sanvinest Khanh Hoa, Hanoi, Tan Hiep Hung Ho Chi Minh City, Saigon Titans Ho Chi Minh City and Luxury Ha Long.
After the 2024 HDBank National Futsal Championship, the 2024 HDBank Futsal National Cup will be held in a concentrated form at one host location, expected to take place in December 2024 in Ho Chi Minh City with 8-10 participating team. The Student Futsal Championship continues to maintain, in order to spread the subject of Futsal to students; The tournament follows FIFA Futsal rules and is run by national referees assigned and administered by VFF.
