Speaking at the press conference before the second qualifying round of the 2024 AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup, the head coach Akira Ijiri affirmed that the U20 Vietnam women’s team has completed 100% of the preparation process for this qualifying round. The VFF has just been approved by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) to continue hosting matches in 2024 AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup 2nd Qualifier (Group A). Before that, the VFF had successfully organized group F in the first qualifying round, at Viet Tri (Phu Tho) last March.
