Information about the 6th VFF’s Congress: Go to build the foundation
Vietnamese football is gradually turning professional. 9 years of V.League is also the time for Vietnamese football tinkering and finding a route for themselves. But to be comprehensively professional, it requires Vietnamese football to be professional in every field and level, not just in terms of expertise.
The changes, which are turning into the 6th VFF’s Congress, are one of the steps to improve ourselves, and moving towards professionalisation in leadership as well as football operation apparatus. Absolutely, the changes always create effects and multi-dimensional public opinions. But the most important thing is that when choosing the right direction and approaching the international standards, the football’s people have to be consistent with their choices.
In fact, the innovations, which are aimed in Term VI, are completely in line with the standards set by FIFA. The right to vote is an example, instead of belonging to the Executive Committee members, it is now given to member organisations. This will be more democracy in election activities. Or the title General Secretary is no longer elected by Congress but is introduced and appointed by the President, in accordance with FIFA Regulations that have been applied for many years. The fact that, in FIFA (anh all of the large Football Confederation in the world), the position of General Secretary acts as an Executive Director of a business and can be outsourced. This ensures that the General Secretary is the most fair and effective operator of football activities.
These options have been researched by FIFA and practiced for a long time and absotutely, it has proved the rationality. Thus, the following and application of Vietnamese Football can be considered as the solicitation, ready to remove the old notions to achieve the highest efficiency, the most reasonable and closest to the “FIFA Standards”. It is also an expression of integration efforts, toward the self-improvement goal, as well as make the first step for the comprehensive professional football in the future.
