Mr Alex Soosay said: “ I have had 15 years working for AFC. During this time, I have experienced many football events, which are held in Vietnam, and witnessed the growth of Vietnamese football. You are a country in the Asia Vision Program and are also one of the countries that do it very well. I am especially impressed by the successes of Vietnamese football, particularly reaching the quarter-final of 2007 AFC Asian Cup and the championship of 2008 AFF Suzuki Cup are the clear examples. Vietnamese football is strongly rising and I believe that in the new term of VFF, you will go even further”.
AFC General Secretary Alex Soosay is also especially impressed by the superficial scale of the Vietnam Youth Football Training Centre. He believes that Vietnam Youth Football Training Centre fully deserves to be the common home of Vietnamese football since it is the achievement of the best efforts of Vietnamese football’s people, and the achievement of the attention and support of the Government, the Departments and the whole society for football.
The AFC General Secretary also highly appreciated the democratic and responsible spirit, which are expressed at the 6th VFF Congress and believes that the innovations will create the more advantage premises for the future development of Vietnamese football.
