The VFF Executive Committee term 5th completed the targets and missions of the Congress term 5th, in which the outstanding achievements for our country. In this term, VFF continues to set the new targets to develop Vietnamese Football.

After being reelected as VFF President Term VI, Mr Nguyen Trong Hy states that he has a lot of plans to gain new achievements with Vietnamese football. According to the President, in the new term, VFF has to successfully build professional football, worthy with the expectations of fans.

On behalf of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) attending the 6th VFF Congress, AFC General Secretary Alex Soosay was particularly impressed by Vietnamese football achievements in recent years. Mr Alex Soosay supposed that Vietnamese football is strongly rising and promising to become one of the leading of continental football.

At 8h30 this morning (15/10), the 6th VFF Congress (period 2009-2013) is officially opening at Large Hall – Vietnam Youth Football Training Centre with the attendance of 150 delegates who are the members of VFF Executive Committee Term V, representatives of VFF member organisations. With 67 votes of support of 68 valid votes in total, Mr Nguyen Trong Hy continues to hold the position VFF President. 3 Vice-presidents are Mr Pham Ngoc Vien, Mr Le Hung Dung and Mr Nguyen Lan Trung

At 18h this afternoon (15/10), the 6th VFF Congress period 2009-2013 was successfully ending. The VFF website recorded the pictures of congress with the spirit “Wisdom – Solidarity – Development”.

Only 24 hours left, the 6th VFF Congress will be held. With what is happening, it can be affirmed that Vietnamese football is aiming to promote democracy. And this is the route to bring Vietnamese football closer to the standards of international football.

The 6th VFF’s Congress received special attention from the leaders of Party, State and Government. Despite being busy with business, State President Nguyen Minh Triet will send flowers to congratulate the Congress. The 6th VFF’s Congress will also be honored to receive the congratulatory flowers from Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung

This afternoon (14/10), at the Large Hall – Vietnam Youth Football Training Centre was taking place in the preparatory session of the 6th VFF’s Congress (period 2009-2013) with the participation of 151 delegates, including 119 delegates of Football Federation Members. clubs, football teams and 32/38 members of the Executive Committee of VFF Term V.

Tomorrow (15/10), The 6th VFF’s Congress will officially open at National Youth Football Training Centre (Hanoi). This is an important event since it will perfect the mechanism and organisation model for the national football to enter the new development period. This year, with the preparation for the 6th Congress, VFF has also celebrated 20 years of releasing Executive Committee Term 1 (1989-1993), marking the new development of Vietnamese Football.
